I'll bet you it will be! I'd put money on it being a clone of the Marushin GAS shell ejector, based on the fact that the first one was a copy of the Marushin spring shell ejector. The two share too many common parts for it not to be, and they are not going to completely re-tool to copy the tanaka instead. :(

MP44 and MG42? more rumors or fact?? again, I'll believe it when I see it, and pic's on Arnie's aint proof of anything, as we have seen many times before!

“I wanted to come to the Volga at a specific location at a specific city. By chance it carries the name of Stalin himself. So don’t think I marched there for this reason – it could carry another name – but because there is a very important goal... this goal I wanted to take – and you know – we are very modest, we have it already."
Adolf Hitler, November 1942

"Comrades, Red Army men, commanders and political workers, men and women guerrillas! It is on your perseverance, staunchness, fighting skill and readiness to discharge your duty to the country that the defeat of the German-fascist army and the liberation of the Soviet land from the Hitlerite invaders depend! We can and must clear the Soviet land of Hitlerite vermin."
Joseph Stalin, November 1942

Possibly true. still you never know. The time frame is apparently 6/8 weeks before it is ready to go on sale. Fingers crossed.

I suppose we'll have to wait and see. I for one don't really WANT to see MP44's toting hicaps suddenly appear en masse, nor a disproportianate amount of machine guns either for that matter. Personally, I wish the Chinese would clone the Tanaka K98, the Marushin M1 Garand and make an Enfield as well.

In Finland we don't use hicaps if it's possible, so hopefully, if/when StG44 comes, it comes with regular magazines.

I love your game-play mentality - the single shot evening game at CiA Bryansk - was something else

John, it's just personal preference - I don't actually like the StG-44

I wish everyone that wants one the best of luck, that a cheaper than the currently available versions goes into production.

guys far be it for me to be a voice of reason but lets try and keep the chinese clone vs original guns debate for another board as it will only end messily :P

back on topic

hadnt spotted the fact a gas kar98k was coming. may be tempted by one as a captured gun but think he mentions its the maruzen version. isnt that a shell ejector?

I only paid £150 cash for my Tanaka... :D

(Mind you, I traded a ton of modern kit I wasn't using since I got into CiA.)
